I have a second domain that is currently being hosted by another hosting company. There are some features that hostmonster offers (i.e. subdomains, more email, etc.) that I would like to use on this second domain. However, some of the functionality for this website is written in cold fusion and cannot be moved to hostmonster. I can change the domain to point DNS to Hostmonster.
I like to have the www.domain2.com point to the hosting company and then I can create a subdomain (sub.domain2.com) that will point to my directory at hostmonster for other web processing. If this is not possible then I could create a subdomain to point to the other hosting company, but it will also require a change to be made by the other company. I don't think option 1 will require the other hosting company to make any changes.
Does anyone have suggestions on which option to select and what I need to do to make this work.
