Code editor crases IExplorer always

My IE browser crashes when I open the code editor over the file Manager. It opens the code, but when I start to scroll all stock's. No chance to do anything.
I want to insert the Google Analytics (java) code. I tried in Pagewizard, but insert HTML does not allow to include Javascript. I made my pages in the Pagewizard.
What can I do ? I thought to install Firefox. Would this work ?

Download the file you wish to edit (you can do this via right clicking it in your file manager, or via FTP)

Simply right click the file once downloaded, and select Open with...

Select Notepad

Edit the file as needed

Re-upload and over write

Your changes are done.
