Newbie asks? How do I exit filemanager

Hi All,

I'm a real newbie; just signed up today. I'm sure this is a really dumb question, but I just can't figure out how to get out of filemanager.

I log into cpanel, go to filemanager and upload my files. Then I want to get back to the control panel. I can't figure out how. There's an 'x' at the top/right of filemanager but that closes the window and logs me off.

There must be a simple way to exit.

As far as I recall (I don't use filemanager much) File Manager gets opened in a new window - therefore just closing the window should work...

It opens in the same window under Opera. I always use the back button to return to the main menu.

It's easy to become buried several layers deep in the file manager where you're forced to step backwards page after page just to return to your C.P. It's cludgy, and though I haven't found an easy way to get back, if you remove "files/" from the address line and press return, it pops you right back to the control panel. Faster than reversing through 10 or 15 pages.

Example:
The top line indicates a site address when in file manager.
The second line removed "files/" and pops you back to the C.P.
