Private Name Servers

Is it possible somehow to set up my own private name servers (like ns1.mydomain.com) rather than using ns1.hostmonster.com etc?

It's something I would be willing to pay extra for of course or is there is some 3rd party service I could use that would help me achieve this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

You need to own a nameserver to do this. You can build your own nameserver with Bind (http://www.isc.org/index.pl?/sw/bind/).

usually, as i see.... most reseller hosting are come with private nameserver. :)
you can resell hosting as well.
