Hey I'm trying to install wordpress on about the third domain I own. (Second Wordpress installation) I keep getting this message, "Only manual upgrade possible," with, "(unknown)," below the domain. When I go into Fantastico I see this immediately before clicking on anything else:

Click on any of the items on the left to get more details.

UPDATE NOW!
Following installations are not up-to-date. Keep your installations secure and up-to-date and ensure that future versions of Fantastico will be able to maintain your installations by updating now.

And there is no link to click on for details.

download the wordpress latest version. backup your site, and upload the latest script.

"only manual upgrade possible" isn't a link. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times too. The Wordpress version matches up with my previous(good) installation also...

This message occurs when you modify a script that was installed with Fantastico. Fantastico can't determine what version you are running, therefore it can't determine if it needs any updates.

I haven't modified the installation after it was installed. All I did was "new install", entered info. Continued through the next two screens. Then the [error] message occurs on the confirmation page. Could there be something wrong or corrupt with the fantastico file I am using to install? Is it located on my site's directory or do I access it off some other hostmonster directory.

It sounds like a corrupt file. I would say that's a strong possibility. Is this a new install with no data to migrate, or are you working with an existing database?

Must have just been on 7-14-2007 night. I logged in the next day and the install went fine. Someone must have been screwing with me, lol.

I've run into some strange issues in the past that were resolved the next day. I would assume some of these things might be associated with server updates. If you try to run a script that is in the process of being updated, there is a strong possibility you will run into problems.
