Hallo,

my question is how can I install a script not listed in the fantastico list or if listed again how can I install a differnt version?

ex. on one of my domains I uploaded via ftp this special joomla edition intended only for this domain

I have created a database the user the pass etc

so when pointing to the domain it should show me the installation wizard but it doesnt so I thought it might be a permission issue.

Is it a permission problem what folders must I chomd ?

thanks

yes you can install it. And when newer version available, you need to upload the files and usually they provide a upgrade page. visit the page will upgrade the website.

At least you will see something. Refer to the installation manual for this.
And make sure you uploaded to the right folder.
if its using main domain, upload your files to /public_html

the problem was "as kindly hostmonster live help pointed out"

that the htaccess.txt should be renamed to .htaccess

so it was a permission problem!
