Div is a far better option IMO, but I'll add that the <IFRAME> tag is also capable of providing a similar effect.

LOL... I stopped reading his posts a long time ago. I think he posts just to see his name all over the forum.

well I think that he does it just so he has a lot of posts for the googlebot to index so his sites look better on the index scale. I would delete the signature but they're all sites hosted at hostmonster so i guess that's ok. If it were up to me, I'd turn off all signatures. Oh well
