Hi, I am brand new to hostmaster and web hosting in general. I was wondering if there is a way I can grant other user's access to adding/editing mysql databases on my site. I'm new to mysql so I have a friend who's gonna help me set up my databases.

hi. if he only need to gain access to mysql database. then create a database user, and give the phpmyadmin login to him.
the login site to the phpmyadmin will look like this..
http://www.hostmonsterreview.org:2082/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php
But If you enter your sql username and password at that menu does it work? it says in the dialogue window that popsup "cpanel" is it asking for the sql username and password or cpanel? and also i read on cpanels sql page,
To remotely access your databases, you must contact support to allow the connection through our firewall as well. Please contact us with the IP numbers you would like to be able to connect from. You can find your IP Address Here
wouldnt the IP need to be allowed access? if so that would mean it needs to be static doesnt it? otherwise when it changes it will block the new IP.
sorry for all the questions but I am not exactly sure about this.
