Hi. I have a question that I am hoping someone can answer.

I usually build websites using the hosts' website builder type templates where you just click and go sorta thing.

I am now building a site for someone that wants to purchase a template from another company and use it here. I am told if I do that, I can't use their preset website builder and have to use my control panel.

This is all greek to me. For starters once I buy the template, I have no idea what to do with it and where I store it, let alone make pages.

Unfortunately the person I am building the site for wants to go this route so it's a whole new learning curve for me.

If anyone can help me at least get started or send me where I can learn what to do, that would be great.

Thanks so much.
:)

basically, website template that we seen on templatemonster.com etc, is design for web editor. meaning you need to use html editor such as dreamweaver to edit it.

other template(theme) that you can plugin directly, is wordpress theme, smf theme, phpbb etc. These website are designed and ready for the theme swap. But your site build with web builder is not come with these, so the 'theme' cant be changed.
